Find answers to common questions about our laser marking machines, services, and support
IDEEDA offers a comprehensive range including fiber laser markers (20W–100W), UV laser markers (3W–15W), CO2 laser markers (30W–100W), portable handheld engravers, MOPA color marking systems, and laser cleaning machines. Each type is optimized for specific materials and applications.
Fiber lasers (1064nm wavelength) are ideal for marking metals and hard plastics with high precision and deep engraving capability. CO2 lasers (10.6μm wavelength) excel on non-metals like wood, leather, acrylic, paper, and glass. The choice depends on your primary material and application requirements.
Our machines cover virtually all common marking materials: metals (stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium, gold, silver), plastics (ABS, PC, PVC, PP, PET), glass, ceramic, wood, leather, paper, cardboard, rubber, coated surfaces, and PCB boards. We recommend specific laser types for optimal results on each material.
MOPA (Master Oscillator Power Amplifier) lasers offer independent control of pulse width and frequency, enabling color marking on stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and plastics without additional consumables. They are ideal for applications requiring multiple colors, fine details, or minimal heat impact on sensitive materials.
Laser source lifespan varies by type: fiber lasers typically last 50,000–100,000 hours, UV lasers 10,000–20,000 hours, and CO2 lasers 10,000–20,000 hours with proper maintenance. IDEEDA uses high-quality IPG, JPT, and RFH laser sources known for their reliability and longevity.
Our machines come with EZCAD2 or LightBurn software as standard, both supporting Windows operating systems. EZCAD2 is ideal for industrial marking with advanced parameter control, while LightBurn offers an intuitive interface for design-oriented users. Custom software integration is available for OEM clients.
Our marking software supports a wide range of formats including vector files (AI, SVG, DXF, PLT), image files (BMP, JPG, PNG, TIFF), CAD files (DWG), and proprietary formats (EZCAD LST). For optimal marking quality, we recommend using vector formats for text and logos.
Most IDEEDA machines connect via USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 to your Windows PC. Simply install the provided driver and software, connect the USB cable, and the machine will be detected automatically. Ethernet connectivity is available on select models for networked production environments.
Standard marking fields range from 110×110mm to 300×300mm for benchtop models, with larger custom fields up to 600×600mm or more available. Portable models typically feature 110×110mm or 150×150mm fields. For large-format applications, we offer galvanometer upgrades and split-lens options.
Yes, IDEEDA machines are designed for seamless production line integration. They support external I/O control signals (start/stop, done signals), PLC communication via RS232/RS485, and can be equipped with automated fixtures, conveyors, vision systems, and rotary attachments for cylindrical marking.
IDEEDA provides comprehensive OEM and ODM services. We can customize machine appearance, color, branding, laser source, galvanometer, control card, software interface, and accessories according to your requirements. Our experienced R&D team supports both hardware and software customization.
The minimum order quantity for OEM customization varies: logo printing starts at 5 units, color and appearance customization requires 10+ units, and full ODM custom development typically requires 20+ units. We are flexible and happy to discuss your specific needs.
Yes, we can fully customize the marking software interface to match your brand identity and simplify your operators’ workflow. This includes custom splash screens, simplified control panels, pre-set parameter libraries, and automated marking sequences tailored to your production needs.
Every IDEEDA machine undergoes rigorous quality control: 72-hour continuous burn-in testing, laser power calibration, beam quality inspection, and full functional testing before shipment. We hold ISO 9001 certification and each machine ships with a test report and quality certificate.
IDEEDA provides a 2-year warranty as standard, covering the laser source, galvanometer, control card, and other core components. Extended warranty options up to 5 years are available for additional purchase. Warranty service is provided through our global support network.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects and hardware failures of core components including the laser source, galvanometer scanner, control card, power supply, and optical components. It does not cover consumables (focusing lenses, protective windows), damage from misuse, or unauthorized modifications.
